Call for Participants: The Shenzhen Forum 2019

December 11, 2018

Building upon the model used for the biennial NCA-CUC Conference on Communication, Media, and Governance in the Age of Globalization (held in Beijing in 2016, 2018, and forthcoming in 2020), the 2019 Shenzhen Forum will bring together scholars and media practitioners from around the world to engage in conversations about cutting-edge communication-based issues.
The Forum is co-sponsored by NCA and the Shenzhen University (SZU) of China, and will be held in Shenzhen, China, June 26-28, 2019.

The Forum will include three “tracks”:

  1. Experiments in Communication Innovation, led by Dr. Rolien Susanne Hoyng, Chinese University of Hong Kong, (the NCA representative), and Dr. Chen Changfeng, Tsinghua University, (the SZU representative).
  2. Intersections in New Media and Health Communication, led by Dr. Yuqiong Zhou, Shenzhen University, (the SZU representative), and Dr. Amy Hasinoff, CU Denver, (the NCA representative).
