The Teaching and Learning Council (TLC) of the National Communication Association is charged with advancing excellence in communication pedagogy across the discipline. The Council supports, promotes, and enhances effective teaching and learning practices by fostering innovative pedagogy scholarship on, encouraging scholarly engagement with pedagogy, and while strengthening the professional development of communication educators at all career stages. TLC members support disciplinary pedagogy, oversee the selection of teaching-related National Awards and Communication Pedagogy Grants. The TLC also plans Convention programs and support materials (such as VLOs, podcasts, and advocacy resources).
