When I chose the theme of “Renewal and Transformation” for our 2021 Annual Convention, I hoped to spark conversations to reflect on our significant commitments and visualize the Association’s future. A year later, we remain passionate about our shared discipline and are optimistic about the prospects for NCA to become more responsive and reflexive. This is an exciting time for our Association as we develop our first new strategic plan in over a decade and envision the outlines of our future together.
To bring transformational change to NCA, including new initiatives that bring inclusion, diversity, equity, and access to the forefront, we need to know more about our members so that we can address your needs and engage you in shaping our future direction. We launched our first-ever Member Survey in September to better understand who you are and what is your relationship to our Association.
We’ve wrapped up the survey and now look forward to sharing its results with you in November. Thank you in advance for contributing in a very significant way toward moving our Association into the future. The findings will help NCA assess which benefits you embrace and others that you desire, how you perceive your relationship to the NCA units with which you affiliate, and what you value about our Association’s programs, including our annual convention. Understanding our members is fundamental to enabling NCA to enact transformational change as those insights will provide the foundation for our policies, programs, and association practices.
