Alyson Reed

Alyson Reed is a freelance consultant who specializes in helping nonprofit organizations to advance their missions. In that capacity, she is currently serving as a part-time Convention Consultant to the NCA on an interim basis. 

Reed has overseen large scholarly conferences and annual meetings while serving as the executive director of three national organizations, including the Linguistic Society of America from 2008-2022. She has also served in senior management roles at a diverse range of professional and membership associations. Reed holds an MA in Public Policy and Women’s Studies from the George Washington University and a BA in English from SUNY-Binghamton.
