Qingwen Dong is a professor of communication and director of graduate studies in communication at the University of the Pacific. His academic career encompasses leadership in higher education, extensive scholarly publications and long-standing engagement in international educational exchange. Dong’s expertise includes media socialization, intercultural communication and research methods. He has mentored both graduate and undergraduate students in a wide range of research endeavors, led collaborative research initiatives, and served professional associations and academic journals in various capacities. His current interests focus on the application of generative artificial intelligence to enhance teaching, learning and research productivity.
