NCA task force invites members to help shape strategic plan

Dear NCA members,

The NCA Strategic Plan Task Force is excited to invite you to take part in the all-member strategic planning survey, the first step in our member-centered approach to developing the National Communication Association’s next strategic plan.

Your voice matters. As we begin shaping the future of NCA, we want to hear directly from you about the association’s vision, mission, goals and future directions. The insights you share will help ensure that member perspectives remain at the heart of this process and will guide the development of a strategic plan that reflects the aspirations, needs and priorities of our community.

The survey will remain open until Oct. 16, 2026, and should take about 10 minutes to complete. In addition to questions about NCA’s future, the survey includes several demographic questions that will help us better understand the diversity of perspectives represented in our responses.

The results of this survey will directly inform our upcoming online listening session, as well as the listening sessions and brainstorming activities that will take place at the 2026 NCA Convention in New Orleans. Together, these engagement opportunities will help us build a strategic plan informed by the collective wisdom and experience of our membership.

We encourage you to raise your voice, share your ideas and help shape the future of NCA. This is your opportunity to contribute to a vision that will guide our association for years to come.
