RESOURCES FOR NCA INTERNATIONAL STUDENT MEMBERS
To assist NCA international student members in knowing their rights, NCA highlights the following publicly available resources:
• The National Immigration Law Center (NILC) provides printable cards that can be used for encounters with immigration officers. The NILC also has detailed explanations of your rights and what they mean in various scenarios.
• NYU has a very clear resource page that explains your rights under a variety of scenarios.
• The ACLU Know Your Rights page and the National Immigrant Justice page have explanations to help you understand what to do if you are approached by someone claiming to be the police and asking about your immigration status.
• The American Immigration Lawyers Association has downloadable PDF “Know Your Rights” flyers that can be posted or distributed.
