Mark your calendars to hear Carolyn Calloway-Thomas speak about the urgent need for empathy in a divided world.
Despite stunning achievements—from landing on the moon to the advent of advanced AI—humanity still struggles with tribalism and “Us vs. Them” mentalities. Why haven’t we moved beyond these instincts that fracture society and harm relationships?
Carolyn Calloway-Thomas will explore how our brain’s tendencies drive division, but more importantly, why empathy and thoughtful communication are vital to overcoming these barriers.

|
Calling all departments looking for graduate students and career applicants! The reservation deadline for departments looking to participate in either the Graduate School Open House (GSOH) and the Career Fair is October 15.
The Graduate School Open House (GSOH) offers a valuable opportunity for colleges and universities to connect with prospective students. Each registered department will have a booth where faculty can engage one-on-one with potential students, discuss their programs, and answer questions about admissions and requirements.
The NCA Career Center attracts a diverse group of attendees, including soon-to-be graduates and professionals seeking new career opportunities. The Job Fair, held during the Career Center, is an excellent way for employers to connect with potential employees. Each registered department will have a booth designed for one-on-one interactions with applicants. The Career Center is open to all registered attendees. The Career Center will also feature CV Consulting in addition to the Job Fair.
