G.I.F.T.S.: Introducing a New Teaching Resource!

We’re excited to announce the launch of a new initiative to support and celebrate innovative teaching practices in Communication! Starting this year, members submitting to Great Ideas for Teaching Students (G.I.F.T.S.) sessions will have the opportunity to opt-in for their submission to be considered for inclusion in a new teaching resource freely available to members released annually comprised of the previous year’s G.I.F.T.S. submissions (i.e., the first edition of this new resource will be released in early 2026 comprised of G.I.F.T.S. submissions to the 2025 NCA Convention).

This resource will serve as a centralized source of creative and effective teaching strategies, available on NCA’s website for members. By sharing your ideas, you’ll be contributing to a growing repository of pedagogical excellence and helping educators across the discipline enhance their teaching practices.

When you submit your G.I.F.T.S. proposal for the annual convention, simply check the opt-in box to have your submission considered for inclusion. If you do not want your G.I.F.T.S. submission to be considered for inclusion in this new resource, simply leave that box unchecked! Whether you choose to opt-in will not impact the evaluation of your G.I.F.T.S. submission for the 2025 NCA Convention. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to academic@natcom.org.
