NCA Student Caucus Travel Grant

Stack of suitcases

The deadline for applications has passed.

In support of its commitment to promoting diversity within the Communication discipline, NCA typically offers travel grants for student members of NCA’s caucuses (Asian/Pacific American Caucus, Black Caucus, Disability Issues Caucus, Caucus on LGBTQ Concerns, La Raza Caucus, or Women’s Caucus) to attend the Annual Convention.

Due to the impact of the ongoing global health pandemic on the convention, NCA’s National Office and Executive Committee are offering all students who would qualify for a Student Caucus Travel Grant a voucher for a discounted 2021 membership.

In order to qualify for the 2021 discounted membership voucher, a student must be:

  1. An active NCA student member
  2. Signed up for at least one of NCA’s caucuses
  3. Registered for the NCA virtual convention

Deadline to apply is Friday, October 9.

Questions should be directed to Justin Danowski, Assistant Director of Governance and Membership, at the following address: If awarded, students will be notified by email in late October, and will receive their membership voucher in January 2021.

Note: Officers, directors, trustees (the Legislative Assembly and its Executive Committee), key employees, substantial contributors or employees thereof, and grant selection committee members are not eligible to receive grants from NCA. Grant recipients must register for and attend the NCA Annual Convention.
