Membership FAQs

This FAQ addresses common questions about our membership types, tiers, and access. If you have a question that is not listed below, please reach out directly to NCA’s Membership team.

After logging in to your online NCA account, simply proceed through the online renewal process. You will be prompted for payment at the end. Select “Bill Me,” print the invoice screen, and send the printed invoice to NCA with your payment.

All NCA members have online access to all current and archived issues of NCA’s 11 journals. To access the journals, click on the log-in button at the top of NCA’s website, and log in using your NCA member email and password. If you have forgotten your NCA password, simply click the “Forgot your Password?” link after clicking on the log-in button. Once you have logged in, select the “Read the Journals” button under the Publications tab at the top of the page. That link will take you to the NCA Online Journals Platform hosted on Taylor & Francis Online.

All journals have unique publication dates throughout the year, so it’s possible that you could receive an issue within a couple of weeks to a few months after purchasing your print subscription. Rest assured that your subscription entitles you to a full year’s worth of issues. If you feel that you missed a journal, please contact NCA’s Membership team.

To join or renew a Department Membership, you must be the admin of the Department’s account. If your account has already been designated as the Department’s admin, click here to join or renew online. If you need to request administrative privileges to the Department’s account, please contact the Membership Department.

Per NCA policy, membership may be cancelled within five (5) days of receipt of payment. If you request a refund within five (5) days of taking advantage of the member rate for the NCA Annual Convention, the refund will be applied to your non-member convention fee and an additional invoice will be sent to you for the remaining balance.

We offer one-year, two-year, three-year, and life time memberships. For renewing members, your latest renewal will not begin until your previous membership year expires. You will not lose any days of membership if you renew early.

Yes, all members are able to pursue leadership opportunities at NCA. You can learn more about our interest groups and see the available calls here.

  1. Visit the NCA member page and scroll down to the membership types chart.  
  2. Find your desired membership type and click Join/Renew for that option.  
  3. Log in to your account.   
    1. If you’re a new member, you’ll be prompted to create an account before continuing.  
  4. If you already have an active membership, you’ll be taken to your subscription page of your member profile. Click Renew to view available options and plans.  
  5. Once you’ve added your membership, click the cart icon in the upper right to proceed to checkout. 

To complete, follow these steps: 

  • Visit our website at natcom.org and click “Member Login” in the top right menu to log in. 
  • Once logged in, click “View My Profile” in the top right menu. 
  • Review and update your profile information as needed. 
  • Upload a square headshot photo (under 3MB in size). 
  • To appear in the new member directory, make sure the “Show in Member Directory” checkbox is selected.
