Communication: Ubiquitous, Complex, Consequential
is a
40-page monograph written by Marshall Scott Poole and Joseph B.
Walther and based on a conference funded by the National Science
Foundation. It describes how Communication has contributed to and
will continue to address important social issues facing the country.
Those issue are: revitalizing our political system, promoting
physical and mental health, fostering emerging global organizations,
and understanding basic human relationships.
