Please use the following commands to manipulate your CRTNET News account.

NOTE: These instructions are for e-mail use. You can do everything described below via the web, by going to http://lists.psu.edu/archives/crtnet.html and following the menus.
I. Subscribing to CRTNET NewsPlease follow these steps to subscribe to CRTNET News:
- Send an e-mail message to: listserv@lists1.psu.edu
- Do not write anything in the subject line.
- In the body of the message type:
Subscribe crtnet <your name>
quit
Example message:
Subscribe crtnet Michelle Randall
To cancel your subscription to CRTNET, please follow these steps:
quit

II. Canceling your subscription
1. Send an e-mail message to: listserv@lists1.psu.edu
2. Do not write anything in the subject line.
3. In the body of the message type: Signoff crtnet
Quitand deliveries will terminate. In order for commands to work they must be sent from the exact e-mail account from which you are subscribed to CRTNET News. If you have forwarded your mail from another account or if you have a nicknamed e-mail address, these commands will not work.

IV. Setting CRTNET News in digest form
Please follow these steps to receive CRTNET News in digest form (one message each day, containing all of the issues for that day):
1. Send an e-mail message to: listserv@lists1.psu.edu
2. Do not write anything in the subject line.
3. In the body of the message type:Set crtnet digest
QuitYou will receive a confirmation of this action.
Note that issues are organized by topic. If you are only interested in certain topics you may do better by deleting daily the messages in which you are not interested. Digest form makes you read everything that was sent each day, but it condenses the posts into one (often long) one.

V. Suspending your CRTNET News subscription To suspend your subscription to CRTNET while you are on vacation or away for a long period of time, please follow these steps:
1. Send an e-mail message to: listserv@lists1.psu.edu
2. Do not write anything in the subject line.
3. In the body of the message type:Set crtnet nomail
QuitWhen you would like to resume service, please send the command:
Set crtnet mail
Quitand deliveries will resume. In order for commands to work they must be sent from the exact e-mail account from which you are subscribed to CRTNET News. If you have forwarded your mail from another account or if you have a nicknamed e-mail address, these commands will not work. In such a case, it is better to cancel your subscription (see above) and re-subscribe (see above) upon your return.
The CRTNET News editorial staff can subscribe and remove you from the list by sending a brief message of request to crtnet@natcom.org. However, we cannot keep a log of certain dates when subscribers would like to terminate or resume their service.

CRTNET News is automatically archived at Penn State University where the list is maintained. To review the archive, visit the CRTNET News archive page at Penn State: http://lists1.cac.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A0=CRTNET
There is a separate archive of grant and fellowship announcements maintained on the NCA web site. These announcements are kept for six weeks from the time they appeared in CRTNET News and contain links to the original announcement, where the full information is available.
