National Communication Association
Extramural Funding Survey

The primary purpose of this survey is to create a national database of all funding which has been received by NCA Institutional and Unit Members in the 10 year period from 1989 through 1999.  The database can then be used to identify funding agencies and foundations that have supported communication scholars and their research.

The three objectives of  this survey are to:

1.    Identify key communication researchers who have been successful securing extramural funding in the 10 year period from 1989 through 1999.
2.    Determine alliances which have been established between communication scholars and other disciplines in securing extramural funding.
3.    Identify funding agencies and foundations that have supported communication research.
