Communication Education published in
January, April, July and October, serves the needs of communication
educators. Its pages include reports of research, articles on teaching, and
reviews of both print and nonprint learning resources.
Materials published in the journal are
not restricted to any particular methodology, approach, or setting.
Articles in CE focus
primarily on the role of communication in the instructional process and teaching
communication in traditional academic environments. However, manuscripts related to
teaching communication or the role of communication in the instructional process in
non-traditional settings (e.g. training in business, health, and legal settings) are
strongly encouraged.
Manuscripts providing practical suggestions for classroom teachers of
communication, previously published in the Instructional Practices section of
CE, should
be submitted to our sister publication, Communication Teacher. However, manuscripts
reporting formal tests of such methods should be submitted to CE.
