Photo-Nancy_Kidd Nancy Kidd has served as Executive Director of NCA since 2009.  She began her career working as a Program Officer at the Russell Sage Foundation in New York, the principal American foundation devoted exclusively to supporting basic research in the social sciences, and subsequently moved to Miami to serve as the Policy Director for the South Florida Workforce Board.  In Florida, Kidd was responsible for evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the quasi-governmental non-profit organization’s programs and processes, comparing alternatives, and making recommendations for programmatic and managerial change and expansion to most responsibly allocate the $100 million budget of Federal funds related to employment programs such as welfare and job training.  She then started and led a strategic management consulting group for a Federal government contractor in Washington D.C. for which she managed several large projects that involved strategic planning, performance management, public policy research, and program evaluation services for agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security. Immediately prior to joining NCA, Kidd ran a division of the Corporate Executive Board that provides strategic research to a membership of hundreds of senior executives at the world’s leading corporations, including many of the Fortune 500.  Kidd has a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s and Ph.D. from Stanford University.  She has won awards for academic teaching and research and has received several honors for professional service throughout her career.
