David Henry is
Professor
and Chair in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of
Nevada, Las Vegas. He earned a Ph.D. at Indiana University; a Master’s at the
University of California, Davis; and an A.B., with honors, at the University of
California, Berkeley. His teaching and research are in rhetoric and public
discourse, with emphasis on political communication, presidential rhetoric,
social movements, and rhetorical dimensions of science and technology. He is
past editor of the Quarterly Journal of Speech (2005-07) and the Western
Journal of Communication (2000-02). He served as Director of NCA’s Finance
Board (2002-04) and as Executive Director of the Rhetoric Society of America
(2003-08) prior to beginning his work with the Publications Board.
