Uploading Papers if you are on a Discussion Panel
Presenters who are on a Discussion Panel must upload
their revised paper or extended abstract by October 15, 2004. Once
uploaded, these papers will be available online for program attendees to
read in advance of the program. NCA recognizes that since the paper will be
made available online, you may choose to upload an abstract rather than the
entire paper. Some journal editors do consider online posting of papers a
publication.
To upload Discussion Panel papers:
1. Visit the online convention program at
http://convention.allacademic.com/nca2004/.
2. Click “Upload a Paper”.
3. Enter your User ID and Password. If you forget
these, please click on the link above to retrieve them via email.
4. After you have logged in, select “Upload a revised
or extended abstract” from the menu.
5. You will be asked to choose if you would like to
opt out of the CD-ROM available for sale at the Chicago convention. Please
see more information below on opting out.
6. Select Continue. You will then be able to browse
for the file saved on your home computer and select the format of the file.
Please note that file size is limited to 2MB. Larger files will need to be
condensed.
7. Select “Upload” and the paper uploading process
will be complete.
Uploading an updated version of your paper (even
if you are not on a Discussion Panel)
If you have revised the paper you originally submitted
for the convention, you may upload a more recent version of the paper. Two
important things to note:
·
The Chair and Respondent on your program will have online
access to your paper prior to the convention.
·
Your paper, unless you “opt out” (see below), will be included
on a Paper CD-ROM that will be available for purchase at the NCA Convention.
ALL PAPER SESSION UPLOADS WILL BE
ACCEPTED UNTIL OCTOBER 20.
1. Visit the online convention program at
http://convention.allacademic.com/nca2004/.

condensed.
7. Select “Upload” and the paper uploading process
will be complete.
NCA will again be offering a CD-ROM for sale at the
convention that contains convention papers. If you would prefer not to have
your paper included on this CD, you MUST go online and OPT OUT before
October 20.
NCA recognizes that some editors may consider the
inclusion of a paper on the NCA Convention Papers CD a publication.
Therefore, if you are planning to submit your paper for publication, you
have the ability of “opting out” of having your paper included on the CD.
